Chrysler 300C 2011-2023 - 14.4-inch Tesla-style Android 13 upgrade

14.4" 1200x1920 Tesla Vertical Screen for the Chrysler 300C 2011-2023 (TKF910)

The 300C has one of the widest centre stacks Chrysler ever built, and the factory radio sits in it like a postage stamp. So we filled the space with a 14.4-inch vertical panel, and kept the two switches your hand reaches for.

Fitment and model years

The kit covers the Chrysler 300C 2011-2023, the rear-drive generation. Two dashes wear that badge: the early car with the rounded silver surround around the radio, and the facelift with the oval clock on top of the stack. Both take the same fascia, which is why the fitment sheet shows A and B instead of two kits.

You get the screen, the fascia and the loom. Your vents above the radio, the climate cluster below it and the trim down the tunnel stay yours, and you still keep the factory climate control panel with your heated seat buttons.

Ordering a Chrysler 300C 2011-2023 Car Multimedia Player is a two-message job: the model year, then a photo of the plugs behind the radio.

Before and after

Out goes a landscape screen borrowed from a smaller car, plus a bank of buttons you press twice a year. Awkward to live with. In goes a vertical panel running from the top of the stack to the climate cluster, so the map, music and shortcuts stack instead of fighting for one row.

With the factory unit

A wide, shallow display, Uconnect menus built for 2011, and phone mirroring only if you add a box behind the dash. The dash still looks expensive, and that's the annoying part.

With the TKF910

14.4 inches of glass on a 1200x1920 panel, wireless CarPlay and Android Auto built in, and your factory trims untouched. Nothing is cut.

Frustrating, the other route. A universal double-DIN with an adapter frame photographs fine, then shows a grey gap on each side, because the 300C opening is wider than any DIN cage. A Chrysler 300C 2012 Tesla Vertical Screen is moulded for it, and the piano-black finish matches the factory bezel.

How the TKF910 compares

Three ways into a 300C stack: live with the factory radio, buy a marketplace double-DIN and a frame, or fit a screen cut for the car. I keep watching all three, and only one comes back.

If you're chasing a Chrysler 300C 2015 Wireless CarPlay Retrofit, ask what the loom carries first, because the harness decides whether your steering wheel controls survive.

Key features

Wireless CarPlay and Android Auto

Pair once and it reconnects by itself, so the cable stays in the armrest.

1200x1920 IPS panel

A 14.4-inch screen with 157% colour gamut coverage and real blacks.

DSP and an RDS tuner

The equaliser and radio live on the unit, not in a phone app.

Two builds share one shell. TKG runs 4GB with 64GB, TKF doubles that to 8GB with 128GB, and this article covers the TKF column. Both run Android 13 on a Cortex-A73 and Cortex-A53 platform at 2.0GHz and 1.5GHz, with an SI4745 tuner and a TDA7388 amplifier chip, in the same Chrysler 300C 2011-2023 fascia.

It doesn't have a 4G modem. This unit goes online over Wi-Fi, usually your phone as a hotspot, and that's the honest trade for a lower price and one less SIM. There's no HDMI output either, so a Chrysler 300C 2021 1200x1920 Touchscreen won't drive a rear screen.

One thing I'd rather say now: this is an Android 13 head unit, not a mirroring screen, so your map app installs on it and keeps working when your phone dies. Does that matter? On a long drive, yes.

Screen and interface

A Chrysler 300C 2019 Android 13 Head Unit runs this launcher, built for a tall screen rather than stretched across a wide one. Shortcuts sit in a row at the top, the map takes the biggest card, and the media player drops below it with the clock and dock at the bottom, so what ends up under your thumb?

It reads like a tablet because it's one, and that's the point of a Chrysler 300C 2021 1200x1920 Touchscreen: the factory look lives in the plastic, not the software.

Most 300C owners do not want a computer on the dash. They want the dash to stop feeling ten years old.

06

Options and fittings

The build table lists DVR, DAB, OBD2 and TPMS as optional, and none are in the box, so tell us which you want before your parcel is sealed. Cameras are the same: reversing, front and the 360 kit are add-ons, and a Chrysler 300C 2019 Android 13 Head Unit takes any of them.

Two details I check on every 300C. The Chrysler 300C 2012 Tesla Vertical Screen fascia carries the hazard switch on the left and the rear-screen demist button on the right, so you're not hunting the console at a junction, which is maddening in traffic. The climate cluster below the screen is a factory part and doesn't move, which is why we're asking for a photo of the whole stack.

Support and ordering

Three details decide your build: the model year, which dash you have, and what sits behind the radio now. Send those with a photo of the connectors and I'll tell you whether the Chrysler 300C 2015 Wireless CarPlay Retrofit harness matches, because I keep seeing two cars of the same year leave the line with different plugs.

Nothing here is region locked. We ship worldwide, and plenty go to Australia, North America, the Middle East and Europe, where the 300C sold in numbers. If your car carries a factory amplifier, say so early, because the RCA pre-outs decide how it's fed.

Frequently asked questions

01Which Chrysler 300C 2011-2023 cars does the TKF910 cover?

Both dash versions of that generation: the early car and the facelift with the clock. Send a photo and we'll confirm before you pay.

02Can I keep my steering wheel controls and the factory amplifier?

That depends on the loom your car left the factory with, so the photo of the plugs matters more than the model year.

03Do I need to cut the dash to fit a 14.4-inch screen?

No. The fascia replaces the factory bezel; the vents and climate panel stay put.

04Will my heated seats and climate buttons still work?

They're factory parts and don't move; the cluster below the screen isn't part of the kit.

05Is it possible to add a reversing camera later?

Yes, but the camera isn't in the box, so ask which kit pairs with your build. A Chrysler 300C 2011-2023 Car Multimedia Player has the input; the camera is the extra.

06What if my car has no Wi-Fi hotspot to share?

Then it'll still run maps, radio and CarPlay, it just won't update traffic on its own. There's no 4G modem here, and I'd rather you heard that from me.

07How do I tell an OEM-style fascia from a universal frame?

Look at the corners. A moulded one follows the 300C opening; a universal frame needs a cage and leaves a gap you'll notice every morning.
