Porsche 911 997 2005-2013 - 8-inch OEM-style Android 15 upgrade
A Porsche 911 2005-2013 car multimedia player used to mean a fascia, a loom and a lot of guesswork. The HB/HV7012 is the swap in one panel: an 8-inch Android 15 screen moulded for the 997 and 987 console.
The range we publish is the Porsche 911 997 2005-2013, the 997.1 and the 997.2, plus the Boxster and Cayman on the same 987 platform. Most carry a double-DIN aperture under twin round vents. Yours might not - I keep asking about the earliest 997.1 builds.
When a customer asks me for a Porsche 911 2005-2013 car multimedia player, the first question is what came out of the car. On 2005 to 2008 builds that's usually a CDR-24 or PCM 2.1 unit, which is why I treat this as a Porsche 911 2008 PCM 2.1 replacement radio rather than a generic double-DIN panel. From 2009 you'll meet a CDR-30 with PCM 3.0, and the looms aren't the same - which is what turns a tidy swap into an annoying afternoon.
One thing worth saying plainly: this panel is for the 997 and 987 cars, so if you're after a Porsche Cayman 987C 2005-2013 car stereo player you're in the right place. Measure nothing, cut nothing.

Three routes, not the same thing. Leave the factory unit alone and the interior stays as built. Porsche's own PCCM Plus retrofit is the tidy official answer here and keeps a 7-inch screen. A marketplace listing costs less up front, but the photo rarely says which Android build is inside, and you can't see whether the fibre link is handled from the listing. The Porsche 997 2010 wireless CarPlay retrofit is the part people feel day to day.

Four items are optional and none change the fit: a DVR camera, DAB radio, an OBD2 reader and tyre pressure monitoring. We also ship AHD reversing and 360-degree surround camera kits.
The part that isn't your choice is the amplifier, and these cars split three ways. No factory amplifier needs anything extra. An ASK Sound Package Plus amplifier needs its turn-on lead respected. A car ordered with BOSE runs its speakers off a fibre optic ring instead of speaker wires, and for that one you need a Bose fibre optic amplifier interface; we supply it as the MOST-PCML box. Memory. HB is 2 GB with 64 GB, HV is 4 GB with 64 GB, and that's the only difference. Same screen, platform and harness, so you can choose on memory alone.
It decides the loom you need. With the fibre amplifier you order a Bose fibre optic amplifier interface alongside the screen, which we supply as the MOST-PCML box. One limit, and it's worth knowing before you order: the fibre boxes on the market carry the front channels, so rear dual-channel speakers won't run through it - annoying if you keep the rear fills.
Yes. The fascia is moulded to the aperture your car already has, so the vents above and the button row below stay put. The six keys run Home, All, Music, Phone, Car and Nav.
No HDMI output, so a rear screen fed over HDMI isn't on the menu. Otherwise we need your model year, your VIN and a photo of the door speaker grille.
