If you drive a 2012-2021 Transit or Tourneo Custom, the radio is the weakest part of the cabin. This kit replaces it with a 10.88-inch floating QLED screen, keeps your steering wheel buttons and gives your phone its own holder.

The WT9456Z is cut for the Ford commercial dash from 2012 to 2021. Here's the fitment list with years, because a Transit Connect and a Transit Courier look alike in a photo and aren't the same opening.

Two things decide whether it drops in cleanly: which radio your van left the factory with, since the plug differs between the base CD unit and the higher trim with the colour screen, and whether the van runs a factory amplifier, which changes the wiring on the sound side. Send us the model year, trim and a photo of the factory radio, and we'll confirm the harness before it ships.

Factory, a 2013 to 2021 Transit gives you a small mono display, a bank of buttons and no way to mirror a phone, so you end up with a suction mount on the glass and a cable across the dash, which is fiddly every trip.
After the swap you're looking at a 10.88-inch floating screen above the vents and a one-piece bezel that follows the curve of the original panel. Is the screen going to look bolted on? Here it doesn't, because the button strip and rotary knob stay in the factory position.
Fitting is a harness-and-bracket job on the vans we ship most: move the brackets across, plug the supplied CAN line and harness in and refit the bezel, with no soldering and no cutting. What you keep matters more than what you gain, though: the dash isn't cut, the vents stay, the airbag stays, and on a leased van that beats screen size.
On some trims you'll want to photograph the connector before you unplug it, since the pin order isn't always what the diagram shows.

The radio is a real FM and AM tuner with RDS and memory presets. RDS is the part people underrate in Europe: it keeps the station name and traffic announcements readable when you cross a regional border, and it's the reason you don't lose the news halfway through a delivery run.

The interface supports online themes, so you aren't stuck with one look, and the bezel button light takes different colours to sit with your cabin; the screen angle is adjustable too, so if the factory panel was aimed at your knees you can tilt it towards you.
On the back you get RCA output, CAN line, 4-pin and 6-pin USB, GPS, the 4G antenna feed and the CCD camera input. Check that against your van, since a Transit Connect and a Tourneo Custom don't always present the same plugs.

A few extras make more sense on some vans than others. An optional front DVR camera adds ADAS functions: front vehicle offset warning, front distance warning and a front car reminder, useful on a long-wheelbase van with an awkward turning circle. An AHD reversing camera gives you a sharp picture with guide lines, and it's the upgrade drivers notice first. There's also an optional OBD reader that pulls fault codes over Bluetooth, plus a TPMS kit showing all four tyre pressures live. None ship with the screen.
What if your van has a factory amplifier? That's the case where the harness changes, so tell us before we pack, and if your Tourneo already has a reversing camera, whether that camera can be reused depends on the signal type and the trim level.
The same dash also comes in 9 and 10.1-inch, 12.3-inch QLED, 12.5-inch ultra-slim, and a 10.88-inch build without the holder. If you won't use a holder, I'd point you at that last one.
