Digital speedometer instrument cluster - BMW Mini Cooper
The YB5690 replaces the analog dials in your Mini Cooper with a 7-inch IPS cluster that runs wireless CarPlay and HUAWEI HiCar, mirrors the factory data your car already publishes, and switches between multiple display themes. Two harness versions cover the R56 and R60 generation and the F54 to F60 generation. Send us your model year and VIN and we confirm the matching version before shipping.
Two part numbers cover the Mini Cooper range: two versions of the same cluster, each with its own harness.
Model YB5690A fits Mini Cooper R56 and R60 built from 2007 to 2015, in both left-hand drive and right-hand drive form. Model YB5690B fits Mini Cooper F54, F55, F56 and F60 built from 2016 to 2020, for left-hand drive cars.

| Model | Steering | Vehicle | Model years |
|---|---|---|---|
| YB5690A | LHD and RHD | Mini Cooper R56, R60 | 2007-2015 |
| YB5690B | LHD | Mini Cooper F54, F55, F56, F60 | 2016-2020 |
LHD and RHD are the two steering layouts. LHD serves continental Europe and North America; RHD serves the United Kingdom, Australia, Japan and South Africa. The layout decides the harness and the CAN bus wiring, so a cluster built for one will not fit the other.

Send us your chassis code, model year and VIN before you order, and we match them against the harness we hold in stock.
A Mini Cooper dashboard is built around analog needle dials and a narrow centre screen. The YB5690 replaces that assembly with one 7-inch IPS panel: speed, RPM, fuel level, coolant and outside temperature, trip data and warning lights all render digitally.
Because the cluster reads the factory vehicle and infotainment systems instead of replacing them, mileage, speed, RPM, tire pressure and fuel consumption keep flowing to the screen.

Three routes are open to any Mini owner: keep the factory cluster, buy a generic unit from an online marketplace, or order from the manufacturer that publishes the specification and supports the wiring.
| What you are comparing | Keep the factory cluster | A marketplace listing | WITSON YB5690 digital instrument cluster |
|---|---|---|---|
| Display | Analog needles, small centre screen | Panel quality varies | 7-inch IPS digital display |
| Phone integration | Factory system only | Wireless support often unstated | Wireless CarPlay and HUAWEI HiCar |
| Interface personalisation | Fixed factory artwork | Usually one layout | Tech, Super Sport, Minimal, Classic, Avant-Garde, Sport and Dynamic |
| Factory data readout | What the original cluster showed | Depends on the CAN channels read | Mileage, speed, RPM, tire pressure, fuel consumption, temperatures, warning lights |
| Vehicle attitude and compass | Not on the Mini cluster | Rarely included | Dual inclinometer and electronic compass, subject to vehicle configuration |
| Camera and blind spot | Not routed to the cluster | Separate screen, if any | Optional left and right mirror HD cameras on turn signal |
| Operating system | Factory software | Varies between batches | Linux, booting in seconds with real-time sync |
| Fitment and wiring | Factory parts follow chassis code | One part number across generations | Two harness versions, checked against model year and VIN |
| Support and contact | Franchised dealer network | Platform returns | Direct contact with Zhuhai WITSON Industrial Co., Ltd. |
The factory and marketplace columns describe each route in general terms; the WITSON column lists our published specification only. Send us your model year to confirm which functions your Mini supports.
Six functions shape the cluster.
Your phone links to the cluster on board, so navigation, music and video run on the display with your hands on the wheel.
Mileage, speed, RPM, tire pressure and fuel consumption stay live, with oil and outside temperature and factory warning lights.
Linux runs the cluster: it tolerates high and low temperatures and vibration, boots in seconds and keeps data in sync.
An IPS panel holds colour and contrast steady from the passenger side and gives every theme a sharp canvas.
With the mirror HD cameras fitted, the cluster shows the side you are turning towards when the indicator is on.
Dual inclinometer readings for pitch and roll with an electronic compass heading, subject to vehicle configuration.

Seven interface directions are named for the YB5690: Tech, Super Sport, Minimal, Classic, Avant-Garde, Sport and Dynamic, with further options in the same menu. You switch on the screen, with no laptop and no dealer visit.
Each direction changes the dial geometry and the centre layout. Super Sport places one large round dial behind the car graphic; Minimal strips the screen back to a wide speed readout; Classic restores the twin dial arrangement Mini owners know. The centre can show a black or a white car model, and an optional dynamic RPM display makes the tachometer move with the engine.

Two groups of functions sit outside the base cluster.
The optional camera set adds left and right side mirrors with HD cameras. When a turn signal is activated, the cluster shows that side's camera feed, covering the rear quarter the mirrors miss.
The second group follows your original vehicle configuration. The electronic compass, the dual inclinometer readout and some factory data channels depend on what your Mini was built with. Send us your model year, VIN and a dashboard photo and we will confirm what your car supports.

We ship the cluster with the harness that matches your chassis code and talk you through the wiring and CAN bus connection before the unit leaves. If you are unsure which version you need, send us your VIN and a dashboard photo.

Two versions of one cluster with different harnesses. A is built for left-hand drive and right-hand drive R56 and R60 cars; B is built for left-hand drive F54, F55, F56 and F60 cars.
Yes. Both run on board over a two-way link between your phone and the cluster, so map navigation, music and video reach the display.
The YB5690 uses a 7-inch IPS screen, and an 8-inch size belongs to the same display range. IPS keeps colour and contrast readable from an angle.
Yes. The cluster synchronises with the factory vehicle and infotainment systems to show real-time mileage, speed, RPM, tire pressure and fuel consumption.
The left and right mirror HD cameras are optional, and the cluster shows that feed when the turn signal is on. Tell us your configuration and we will confirm what is needed.
The comparison table sets out the difference. We publish the display, the phone integration, the theme list, the data channels and both harness versions with their model years, and we check your VIN before shipping.
