Your phone connects on board with a two-way link between handset and cluster. Map navigation, music and video are shared with the panel in real time, so your hands stay on the wheel.
Oil temperature, outside temperature and the factory warning lights are displayed, while mileage, speed, RPM, tyre pressure and fuel consumption sync with the vehicle system and infotainment.
Switch between several complete interface designs, and choose a black or a white vehicle graphic so the cluster centre matches your car colour.
A dual inclinometer and a high-precision electronic compass show pitch, roll and heading, useful on uneven ground and when manoeuvring off-road.
Linux is built for automotive environments, so the cluster keeps running under high temperature, low temperature and vibration. It boots in seconds and keeps data in sync without lag.
Seven themes ship with the cluster: Tech, Super Sport, Minimal, Classic, Avant-Garde, Sport and Dynamic. Each one is a complete layout rather than a colour filter, so the information you care about moves to where you want it.
Super Sport gives the tachometer the whole centre of the screen. Minimal reduces the display to speed, trip and fuel. Classic returns to a two-dial arrangement with digital needles, and Tech keeps a split layout with vehicle data on both sides. An optional dynamic RPM display is available for drivers who want the needle action to track engine load more closely.
You also choose the vehicle graphic that sits in the middle of the layout, either black or white. A terrain mode prompt is shown on the panel and confirmed with the OK button.
Two functions depend on how your GX was built, so check them with us before ordering.
Left and right electronic side mirror blind spot assist is an option. Cameras are fitted into the mirror housings, and when you activate a turn signal the cluster shows the corresponding rear side view. That helps with dooring incidents and with visibility in rain and at night.
