Many factory and aftermarket multimedia systems automatically display the rear camera only while reversing. That helps behind the vehicle, but it does not show the area immediately in front of the bumper when approaching a curb, wall, ramp or tight parking position.
Adding a front camera helps solve this visibility problem. The WITSON L-055 control module manages the front and rear camera signals so drivers do not need to repeatedly enter menus just to change the camera view.
Shift into reverse and the rear camera is displayed automatically.
While reversing, press the external button to change from the rear camera to the front camera.
After shifting out of reverse, the front-camera view remains on the screen for 10 seconds.
While driving or parked, press the button to activate the front-camera view and press it again to exit.
After vehicle ignition, the front-camera image is displayed automatically for 8 seconds.
